The Commons
The Commons is seven traditional-style residence halls housing about 500 first-year students located in the center of campus. Traditional style means the rooms on the floor/wing share a community bathroom (with the same gender). Most rooms are double occupancy, but a few single rooms are available. Hanover Hall is located within The Commons and features a community kitchen, lounge, study space, and classrooms. The Commons are home to our Honors College, Schar School's Democracy Lab, and Lavander Living Residential Learning Communities.
The Commons Room Layout Options
Traditional Single – A private bedroom for one student in traditional-style housing. Residents share a communal bathroom located on the floor. Traditional Single rooms are reserved for students with approved housing accommodations through the Disability Services Office.
Traditional Double – A bedroom shared by two students in traditional-style housing. Residents share a communal bathroom located on the floor. This layout offers a classic on-campus residence hall experience.
