All You Need to Know About Move-out
Residence Halls close on May 14th, 2025
When checking out of the residence halls, residents must complete the following. Failure to complete any of the following steps may result in an additional charge. A sample list of charges may be found in Damage Charges Spreadsheet. Housing and Residence Life updates the list of damage charges each May and as such, there may be some variation to the amounts listed in the sheet depending upon the severity of damage caused by residents. From May 6 to May 14, Housing & Residence Life student staff will be available to assist residents with checkout.
Are you graduating in Spring 2025?
Residents who have applied for graduation for either Spring 2025 or Summer 2025 will be eligible to remain in the residence halls until after their degree celebration. Be sure to check the Graduating Resident Move Out Schedule to know when you will need to check out of the residence halls.
Students who are assisting with graduating (Eagle Bank Arena student staff, Green Machine, etc.) will need to have their supervisors reach out to housing@gmu.edu to request an extension.
