Do Residence Halls Remain Open During Thanksgiving?
The residence halls will remain open throughout the Thanksgiving Break (November 27-December 1). The Piedmont and Eisenhower Desks will be open 24/7 to assist any residents who remain on campus throughout the break.
When Do Meal Plans End?
Meal plans will end on Tuesday, November 26, with IKE's remaining open until 2:00 p.m., Simply To Go in SUB I until 3:00 p.m., and Southside and the Globe until 7:00 p.m. See what's open now!
What Transportation is Available During Thanksgiving?
Destinations include, but are not limited to Hampton, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Richmond in Virginia, as well as Philadelphia and New York. Buses and shuttles will leave on Tuesday, November 26 to regional cities and return on Sunday, December 1st. What Metro Stations Are Open?
Union Station is a hub for Amtrak and some regional bus services. It is available via Metro; students can take the CUE Bus to Vienna (Orange Line), transfer at Metro Center to get on the Red Line, and get off at Union Station. How Do I Get to Area Airports?
There are three major airports (Dulles, Raegan, and Baltimore) located in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. We don’t offer shuttle service to area airports for the holiday/seasonal breaks, but area airports are accessible via public transportation, Super Shuttle, Uber/Lyft, or Taxi. Please always check transportation schedules, particularly during the holidays.
